Cierra Martino

Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate

Cierra is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with a deep understanding of cultural competence and identity formation as a lifelong process. She recognizes the unique perspectives shaped by each individual's personal, relational, social and environmental experiences. Cierra supports children, teenagers, and adults by encouraging self-reflection and advocacy, increasing emotional awareness, and exploring effective coping strategies for conflict management. She strives to create a supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Her work with couples and families focuses on relationship strengthening, navigating life transitions such as navigating parenthood, co-parenting, conflict resolution, communication techniques, and healthy separation strategies. Regardless of the circumstances, Cierra provides a non-judgmental space that encourages self-exploration, vulnerability, and healing to increase the joy of life for all clients.

Cierra's professional journey began as a health coach, where she dedicated several years to guiding clients toward their nutrition, exercise, and stress management goals. This role allowed her to connect deeply with clients and understand the various obstacles they faced. Driven by a desire to provide more comprehensive support, she pursued a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Marriage, Families, and Couples. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Physiology from the University of Iowa.

Fun facts: Cierra grew up in Iowa, and lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Charleston, South Carolina prior to moving to Colorado. She enjoys watching competitive bake shows, listening to true-crime podcasts, and getting plenty of fresh air outdoors while biking, hiking, kayaking, or hosting family and friends for a back-yard barbecue.
